Following on from news yesterday that Adebayor is looking to leave the club, his agent, Stephane Courbis, has talked about the interest from other clubs.

“As of today, I have not even got evidence to speak of presumed interest from Chelsea and Manchester United,” Courbis revealed. “It’s a given fact that Carlo Ancelotti likes the player seeing that last year he tried to sign him for Milan, although Chelsea have not contacted us.

He also revealed that there is some serious interest from an “important team”… but who could that be?

“We have not received any calls, not from Milan or Ancelotti. Another team has contacted us, but I cannot say anything, it’s a very important team.”

The will he / won’t he saga that is Emmanuel Adebayor has gained more ground as the player’s agent admitted he was waiting for a call from Carlo Ancelotti so the player could move to one of our biggest rivals in Chelsea…
