Emmanuel Adebayor’s transfer to Manchester City is imminent with the Togolese striker being granted a work permit after a hearing in Manchester yesterday.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has not yet commented on the future of the £25m target-man, although a deal is expected to go through before City head out to South Africa to take part in the Vodacom Challenge.

Hughes on Adebayor move:
“There is a deal to be done, possibly, but it’s not been concluded as we speak.”
It looks like the Togan could well be on his way.

Breaking news is that a fee for Adebayor has been agreed between Arsenal and Man City…
Arsene Wenger recently spoke on this:
“If he doesn’t want to stay, he’ll leave, but I think he’ll still be at Arsenal this season.”
But it looks like the former Monaco forward could be on his way as early as tomorrow.

Real Madrid have long been linked with Fabregas, as have the Spain international’s former club Barcelona, but Migeul Pardeza (the sporting director) is adamant the 22-year-old is not on their radar.
“He is a great player, there’s no doubt about that. But at this moment he is not a target for Real Madrid”
All we need is Barcelona to say the same thing…!

Aaron Ramsey looks forward to the new season…
“There could be a number of teams involved. Look at Manchester City, they are trying to buy more players which will only make them better. Maybe they will be involved but we will have to wait and see. The Premier League used to be two teams going for the title but it has come on a long way since then. More teams are challenging for the title now.”
And looks forward to the battle of the top teams…

New breaking from SKY Sports and other sites is that Jack Wilshere signs new long term contract…
Jack Wilshere has signed a new long-term contract at Arsenal 24 hours after Aaron Ramsey committed his future to the club.
The 17-year-old made his Gunners debut back in September in a 4-0 win at Blackburn when he was just 16 before going on to make eight appearances in total last term.
The youngster is highly rated by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger after some standout displays in the reserves and youth teams.
The Frenchman used the Stevenage-born ace mainly in the Carling Cup last season where his performances belied his young age.
Wilshere even managed to score his first goal for the club in only his second outing against Sheffield United the League Cup at Emirates Stadium in September.
Wilshere operates as a creative midfielder behind the forwards although he has mostly appeared on either flank for the Gunners’ reserve and first team.

Indeed, as we all expected, Amaury Bischoff wouldn’t play next season as has about 8 players ahead of him. And if we’re not going to play him, then there is no reason to stay…
“(Wenger) could not guarantee me playing time next season. So we decided together that it was best that I did not extend (the contract),”
